9-Year-Old Astroworld Victim Dies From Injuries

A 9-year-old victim of the Astroworld tragedy has passed away as a result of his injuries.

Ezra Blount suffered severe brain and organ trauma during Travis Scott’s Astroworld performance. He had been on life support at Texas Children’s Hospital since the events of November 5.

The Blount family’s lawyer, Ben Crump, confirmed the loss of Ezra.

“The Blount family tonight is grieving the incomprehensible loss of their precious young son,” read an official statement. “This should not have been the outcome of taking their son to a concert, what should have been a joyful celebration. Ezra’s death is absolutely heartbreaking.”

“We are committed to seeking answers and justice for the Blount family. But tonight we stand in solidarity with the family, in grief, and in prayer.”

Hundreds of people were injured and nine others died after crowd surges sparked mass panic. More than 200 concertgoers are reportedly suing Scott and Astroworld organisers.

Rest in Peace, Ezra.
