Aaron Rodgers And Green Bay Packers Fined For Violating COVID-19 Rules

The National Football League has issued fines to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers for violating COVID-19 protocols.

According to ESPN, the NFL determined it would fine the Packers $300,000 after a review of the team’s implementation of COVID rules. In addition, Rodgers and teammate Allen Lazard were fined an individual $14,650 each.

Rodgers has been embroiled in a controversy over his vaccination status. After telling reporters he was “immunized” the quarterback later contracted the virus and confessed that he had not been vaccinated.

Many fans have since accused Rodgers of misleading them. He later clarified that he had taken a dose of ivermectin – which he believes will boost his immune system.

Ivermectin is an antiparasitic drug used for humans and animals, typically in the treatment of roundworms.

Among the violations is an instance where Rodgers did not wear a face mask during an interview, and another occasion where Rodgers and Lazard attended a Halloween party. Video footage from inside the club’s facility also revealed numerous times where both players failed to wear masks.

Packer’s president Mark Murphy said the team “respected the League’s findings”.

“We recognise the importance of adherence to the COVID protocols to keep our team and organization safe and healthy. We will continue to educate the team regarding the importance of the protocols and remain committed to operating within the protocols.”
