Adele has offered an interview for Canadian station, CBC Radio in which she talked about what her and Drake’s music mean to the industry.
The 33-year old singer offered the interview as part of promotions for her newly released album, 30, which came out on November 19.
In the interview Adele, revealed that she believes her and Drake are “dying breed” and that their isn’t many artists like them both anymore.
“We are a dying breed. There was like 10 of us. You know, I don’t think there’ll ever be that many of us again at the top doing it the way we were doing it,” she said.
“We came out before streaming. We came out before all the social media frenzies of like, ‘You’ve got five seconds to entertain; otherwise, get out’. We existed in the old school-ness of the industry that we grew up watching and aspiring to [be part of],” she added.
Adele’s 30 has become the best-selling album of the year only three days after its release.
