Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin have deleted their official Twitter accounts.
The move comes days after Baldwin gave his first interview since the tragic shooting on the set of Rust, which claimed the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Twitter users first noticed the couple’s accounts had disappeared sometime during Sunday evening (November 5). While others belonging to Baldwin remain active, his main account – which he used to issue his first statement after the accident – has been removed.
In an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopolous on December 2, Baldwin admitted that he felt someone was responsible for the fatal accident: “Someone is responsible for what happened and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me.”
“Honest to God,” Baldwin went on. “If I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself if I thought I was responsible.”
He said that he “did not pull the trigger” on the gun which discharged and killed Hutchins, adding that he had “no idea” why or how a live round was on set.
