Alex Morgan Completes Switch To San Diego Wave FC

USWNT forward, Alex Morgan, is the latest player to join NWSL newcomers San Diego Wave FC

After a lengthy spell with Orlando Pride – that included spells abroad with both Lyon and Tottenham HotspurMorgan is heading back to her home state of California for the next chapter of her career.

She joins already announced international teammate, Abby Dahlkemper, and England forward Jodie Taylor.

“As a Southern California native, I am excited to be making a long-term commitment to Wave FC and the city of San Diego,” said Morgan.

“I am coming home to partner with this ambitious new club and to push the league forward for generations of soccer players to come.”

“I cannot wait to get started and I will do everything I can to help bring a championship to this great city.”

San Diego will begin their inaugural NWSL season in 2022.
