Awkwafina is to star in a spinoff to Amazon’s hit series, The Boys.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new show, entitled Diabolical, will premiere on Amazon Prime in 2022.
Diabolical will be an animated series, created by The Boys showrunner, Eric Kripke, and numerous comedians. Eight episodes are reportedly in the works.
The series is reportedly named after the catchphrase of Billy Butcher – one of the stars from the original series. Karl Urban, who portrays the character in The Boys, confirmed production of the show during a Comic-Con panel.
An official reveal video provides a sneak peek at Diabolical’s animation style and features a Butcher’s bulldog, Terror.
The Boys season 3 concluded filming in September. Another spinoff series based around a superhero college is also in the works.
