The family of Bob Saget has been granted a temporary injunction to block the release of records from the investigation into his death.
On January 9, the Full House actor and stand-up comedian died aged 65 in Orlando, Florida. It was later revealed that he had died from an accidental head injury.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Saget’s family had filed for a temporary and permanent injunction to prevent the release of sensitive information concerning his death from being released to the public.
Now, according to court documents obtained by the PA news agency, a judge has granted a temporary injunction on the grounds that sharing such information would cause significant emotional distress and mental pain for the Saget family.
“Upon information and belief, certain news and media outlets have filed or plan to file public records requests… requesting defendants release the records to the public,’ the documents said.
It continued: ‘For the reasons stated herein, plaintiffs seek a temporary and permanent injunction precluding defendants from releasing the records to anyone except plaintiffs as the surviving spouse and daughters of Mr Saget, or to plaintiffs designee.’
