Delroy Lindo has joined the cast of Marvel’s new vampire-thriller, Blade.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lindo joins Mahershala Ali, who is set to star as the titular vampire-human hybrid. Helming the project is director Bassam Tariq, with Stacy Osei-Kuffour penning the script.
Marvel confirmed its plans for a new Blade film at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. The iconic character was previously brought to life by Wesley Snipes in the popular film trilogy by the same name.
Lindo recently featured in Jeymes Samuel’s new western, The Harder They Fall. He has previously appeared in notable titles such as Malcolm X, Da 5 Bloods, and Gone in 60 Seconds.
Blade will reportedly begin production in the summer of 2022.
