Emily Ratajkowski has been captured in full denim leaving her New York City apartment and heading to the CBS studios ahead of her new book release.
The 30-year-old actress and model is in social medias spotlight again. This time, Ratajkowski has released an honest collection of essays on the subject of her body.
Ratajkwoski shot to fame after her appearance in Robin Thicke’s controversial Blurred Lines music video. The video appeared online with a censored and uncensored version. The latter version contained Ratajkwoski and other models danced around topless.
Just recently news leaked without Ratajkwoski’s consent. In her new book My Body, according to The Times, “she accuses Robin of groping her bare breasts while they were making the video in 2013. Thicke has not publicly responded to Ratajkowski’s allegations.”
For Ratajkwoski the 2013 music video acted as a catalyst, setting the tone for her future career.
Since then the model-turned-author, has come forth and spoken candidly to The Times about the capitalisation and exploitation of her body in the industry.
“In my early twenties it had never occurred to me that the women who gained their power from beauty were indebted to the men whose desire granted them that power in the first place” @emrata https://t.co/V6Idh0M5zo

The book has been described by Buzzfeed as “a metaphor about being a woman in the world.”
