Final Jingle Ball Show Cancelled Due To COVID-19

The final Jingle Ball show in Miami was cancelled following growing concerns over COVID-19 cases.

According to Y100 Miami, the last leg of iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball tour was due to go ahead yesterday (December 19), but was cancelled at short notice “as a precautionary measure”.

Making the announcement via Twitter, Y100 Miami promised to refund all ticket holders.

“Due to the increased transmission of the new Covid-19 variant and to further minimize any potential risks, as a precautionary measure and for the safety of our staff, talent and guests, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s iHeartRadio Y100 Jingle Ball. Thank you for understanding.”

Many concertgoers responded with disappointment and anger, with several people complaining over the short notice of the decision.

“Messy as hell cancelling something THE DAY OF,” commented one person. “Why not yesterday? The day before that? Y’all are wrong as hell for that one.”

“What a let down to the fans the day of the concert you cancel the concert because of Covid-19 in Florida,” wrote another. “But this tour has been having performers and crew infected with COVID-19 previously.”

“Wtf this is so messed up why the day of?” said another.

Multiple performers, including Doja Cat, the Jonas Brothers and Megan Thee Stallion, had already pulled out of the show due to positive tests within their teams.
