Ioan Gruffudd has reportedly filed for a restraining order against his wife, Alice Evans.
According to legal documents obtained by Page Six, Gruffudd made the court filing on Tuesday (February 15).
The actor is requesting that Evans be prohibited from coming within 100 yards of him or his current girlfriend, Bianca Wallace.
In the documents, the 48-year-old actor says that Evans has threatened to “do to me what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp“.
“Alice threatened to tell people I had abused her and our daughters,” reads the filing. “Threatened to call the police on me if I did not comply with her demands … threatened to tell people I am a drug addict and put me in prison … threatened to write a fake diary that reflected an abuse victim, and to have the diary published; and threatened to destroy my mother.”
Citing over 100 text messages and social media posts, Gruffudd claims that Evans‘ threatened campaign of harassment was largely carried out. Responding to the filing, Evans said she had “no idea” what Gruffudd was accusing her of.
Alleging that the filing was a “ploy” for Gruffudd to get an “advantage” in their divorce proceedings, Evans said: “I have not hit, struck, attacked, threatened, assaulted, harassed, followed, stalked, molested, destroyed, the personal property of, kept under surveillance, impersonated, blocked the movement of, annoyed by phone or electronic means by repeated contact, or disturbed the peace.”
Gruffudd and Evans separated in January of 2021, filing for divorce in March.
The pair, who met whilst starring in 102 Dalmations, had been married for 14 years and share two children.
