“Love Is Blind” season two star Iyanna McNeely officially filed for divorce from Jarrette Jones after one year of marriage, E! News confirmed on Oct. 4. Per court documents obtained by the outlet, McNeely filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, citing irreconcilable differences.
On Nov. 29, McNeely opened up about the split in an emotional TikTok video after their divorce was finalized. She captioned it: “I love that man. Of course, I can only speak to my experience, and I hope that Jarrette can grow to be truly vulnerable amongst those he’s loves. I do not regret it but instead will, and am, learning from it. As I continue to process, I’m sure I’ll share more about my marriage on my podcast but, for now, I wanted to share to those who may relate. For anyone else going through a divorce, a breakup, or just general grief, it’s okay. It’s okay to feel, it’s okay to process, and it’s okay to lean on those closest to you. Every experience was meant to teach, prune, and stretch. Embrace it.”
In the video, McNeely begins, “Well, it is official. Divorce really is like a grief, and as much as people laugh at how long we were married, I think my expectations made it real, my hope made it real, my effort made it real, my tears made it real, so I’m crying for that girl that I was at the beginning of this marriage. I was so hopeful and I had less baggage and I was optimistic and I was healed.”
She continued, “I may be crying and I may be sad right now, but I’m happy that I’m moving forward . . . it’s really done now, so I release it. I release it. I don’t have to hold those expectations anymore. I don’t have to keep pouring into someone who doesn’t have the capacity to pour back. Now, I can just focus on my friends and my family and the people who do see the value in me, the people who are supporting me, and the people who are reminding me who I am . . . a new chapter — really a whole new book. It’s a good thing. No more tears. I’m tired of being a f*cking sad girl.”

On Aug. 17, the couple announced their split on Instagram. “After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing,” they wrote in a joint statement. “While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the best.”
The pair asked fans to give them space as they “close this chapter of our lives” and thanked their friends and family for supporting them. They concluded their statement by writing: “To the ‘Love Is Blind’ family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support. Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives. This experience has taught us so much about ourselves, vulnerability and love. We don’t regret a single thing!”
McNeely and Jones were one of the two “Love Is Blind” season two couples to tie the knot at the end of the season, which debuted on Feb. 11 and concluded on March 4. The couple gave an update on their marriage during the show’s reunion special and shared that they both “learned a lot” and “[grew] a lot since we first said ‘I do.'” Following season two, they continued to show off their romance on social media and recently posted photos from a photo shoot in a June 20 Instagram post.
