Naomi Campbell debuts her baby daughter on the cover of British Vogue, confirming that she isn’t adopted.
The cover marks the first time that the 51-year-old supermodel has been pictured with her daughter, who she described as “the biggest blessing”.
Announcing the arrival of her daughter in May 2021, Campbell wrote: “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.”
“So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you, my angel. There is no greater love.”
Settling speculation that her child may have been adopted, Campbell told Vogue: “She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child.”
Though she did not reveal further details on her name or birth – stating that she intends to share that information in a book – Campbell admitted that she kept her daughter’s impending arrival a secret.
“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her,” she said. “But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
Describing her as a “trooper”, Campbell wasn’t shy in praising her baby daughter’s temperament.
“I’m lucky my little one loves to travel like me – no whimpering taking off or landing. She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age.”
She adds, “She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking. I think she might walk before she crawls. And she’s got six teeth already.”
