OJ Simpson is a “completely free man” after he was discharged from parole early due to good behaviour.
Simpson has served nine years in prison after he was convicted in 2008 of armed robbery. In 1995 he was famously acquitted for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.
Now, according to the Associated Press, the 74-year-old ex-NFL star has been freed from parole supervision early. The decision, revealed by a spokesperson for the Nevada State Police, came into effect on December 1 and was credited to Simpson’s good behaviour.
His parole was originally not scheduled to expire for another two months, on February 9, 2022.
Confirming the news in Las Vegas was Simpson’s lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne: “Mr Simpson is a completely free man now.”
Currently residing in a gated community in Las Vegas, it is unclear whether Simpson intends to remain there. He had previously expressed a desire to live in Flordia.
