Police Obtain Search Warrant For Alec Baldwin’s Phone Over ‘Rust’ Shooting

Police have obtained a search warrant for Alec Baldwin’s phone following the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.

According to TMZ, the Santa Fe Country Sheriff’s Department have obtained a search warrant for Baldwin’s phone, to comb it for potential evidence in relation to the shooting incident.

At the moment, Police say they are trying to gather as much information as possible about the production from before filming had started.

TMZ are also reporting that Baldwin recently told investigators about emails between himself and head armorer Hannah Gutierrez–Reed, in which she showed him different guns and knives, that could be used for Rust.

Earlier this month, in his first TV interview since the shooting, Baldwin denied being responsible for the death of Hutchins, saying: “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger. I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them, never.”
