Prince Charles Rejects Claims Of Racism

Christopher Andersen‘s new book Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan has reportedly outed Prince Charles for his questioning on what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s future children’s skin tones will be.

Meghan appeared on Oprah earlier this year and shared that a member of the Royal Family directed racist comment at them. Though Meghan refused to name any names during the interview, it now comes to light that Prince Charles was the “senior royal” behind the remarks.

Page Six report, from the book, that “on Nov. 27, 2017 — the same morning the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was officially announced — Prince Charles mused to his wife, Camilla, “I wonder what the children will look like?””

“The insider said that Camilla was “somewhat taken aback” by the question and replied, ‘Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain.’”

“Lowering his voice, Charles asked: ‘I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?’”

The outlet reports further that a spokesperson for Prince Charles has rejected these claims.

“This is fiction and not worth further comment.”

Andersen‘s book is out now.
