Rob Savage To Direct Adaptation Of Stephen King’s ‘The Boogeyman’

Rob Savage will direct the film adaptation of Stephen King’s, The Boogeyman.

The 1978 short story by King follows Lester Billings, a man who becomes convinced that a monster is residing in his children’s closets to kill them.

According to Deadline, production on the project will begin in New Orleans this winter and spring. Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen are attached to produce.

Savage shot to prominence in 2020, following the release of his pandemic horror hit, Host. The sequel film, Dashcam, premiered in September.

Sharing the news of his latest project on Twitter, Savage wrote that it was “surreal” to be associated with King.

Created in conjunction with 20th Century Studios, The Boogeyman is expected to receive an exclusive release on Hulu.
