The wife of country singer Sam Hunt has filed for divorce, citing alleged infidelity.
According to TMZ, Hannah Lee Fowler, who is due to give birth to the couple’s first child in May, filed for divorce in Tennessee on Friday (February 18). She has been married to Hunt since 2017.
“The husband is guilty of such cruel and inhuman treatment or conduct toward the spouse as renders cohabitation unsafe or improper,” state court documents.
The filing goes on to claim that Hunt is “guilty of adultery” and requests that both partners be awarded “their respective separate property”.
Fowler has also petitioned to have primary custody of their unborn baby, in addition to child support and “transitional alimony, rehabilitative alimony, and alimony in future.”
Hunt’s on-and-off relationship with Fowler prior to their marriage served as an inspiration for his album Montevallo and was also referenced in his song Drinkin’ Too Much.
