Shailene Woodley And Aaron Rodgers Call Off Their Engagement

Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers have reportedly called off their relationship.

According to People, sources close to the NFL player and Big Little Lies actress have confirmed the split, describing it as “amicable”.

“They’re very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount. They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them,” claimed the source.

Their separation comes just over a year after the NFL MVP announced his engagement to Woodley.

“2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments,” he said while accepting the 2020 MVP award. “One hundred-eighty straight days of having my nose hair scraped, a plan for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.”

Woodley also confirmed the engagement during an interview for Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, indicating that the pair had been for some time.

“Yes we are engaged,” she said. “We are engaged. But for us, it’s not news, you know, so it’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.’”

News of the split comes as some controversy continues to linger over the Green Bay Packers quarterback for his reluctance to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

He was accused of misleading fans after stating that he was “immunized” despite testing positive for the virus in November and revealing he was unvaccinated.
