Spike Lee has singed a multi-year creative partnership deal with Netflix to direct and produce new films for the streaming giant.
The partnership will see Lee produce a number of new narrative features through his production company, Forty Acres and a Mule Filmworks for Netflix.
In a statement, Lee said: “There is no better way for me and my company 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks to begin the new year than renew our partnership with Ted Scott and Tendo – da fearless leaders of Netflix.
“Besides my joints, we together will focus on new diverse storytellers, YOUTH MUST BE SERVED. And dat’s da truth, Ruth. Ya-DIG? SHO-NUFF.”
Some of Lee’s previous projects with Netflix, include Da 5 Bloods, She’s Gotta Have It and Rodney King.
Megan Thee Stallion also recently signed a new deal with Netflix, which will see her star in a new television series. Read more about this story here.
