‘The Wendy Williams Show’ Has Officially Been Cancelled

UPDATE: Wendy Williams has posted on her official Instagram story saying she didn’t authorize Bragman to make statements on her behalf.

Debmar-Mercury has announced that The Wendy Williams Show will officially end later this year after 13 seasons.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the production company behind the popular talk show, announced that The Wendy Williams Show will come to an end in June, and be replaced by a new show hosted by Sherri Shepard.

“This is also a bitter-sweet moment for us and our partners at Fox. We all have great love and affinity for Wendy, who grew into a true icon during her 12 incredible seasons as the solo host of a live, daily talk show dishing on ‘Hot Topics’ and interviewing celebrities,” the shows producers said.

Speaking to Deadline, Wendy William’s spokesperson Howard Bragman, explained that Williams understands why this decision was made from a business point of view and expressed her gratitude to her replacement, Shepard.

“It’s been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time,” Bragman said.
