What is Jill Duggar doing now?

Jill Duggar left Counting On in 2017 after her husband was fired from the show.

Since leaving TLC behind, Jill and Derick have been focusing on running the Dillard Family blog.

“We have two active boys and love spending time together as a family,” its description reads.

“God has placed international missions on our hearts. We pray you’ll be blessed as you hang out on our site and get to know us a little bit better!”

The blog includes personal photos and videos as well as articles on Christianity and recipes.

Who are Jill Duggar’s children?

On Sunday, February 27, 2022, Jill Duggar announced she and Derick are expecting their third child together.

“We are excited to announce that God has answered our prayers and we are expecting our rainbow baby due July 2022!,” Jill and Derick wrote via the Dillard family blog.

“We are so thankful for a healthy baby and pregnancy so far, and we look forward to finding out the gender soon!”

Rainbow baby is a term for a child conceived post-miscarriage, which is something Jill suffered in 2021.

The blog post continued: “Ever since we were devastated last fall by the miscarriage of our sweet baby, River Bliss, we have prayed that, if it was God’s will, he would bless us with another baby.”

Israel was born in 2015, with Samuel coming along in 2017.

Why did Jill Duggar leave Counting On?

In 2017, Derick Dillard was fired from Counting On after he shared tweets criticizing TLC transgender star, Jazz Jennings.

In Derick’s tweet, he referred to Jennings using a masculine pronoun.

“I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child,” Derick said at the time.

“It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on tv these days.”

TCL later released a statement saying they had cut ties with Derick.

Following the incident, Jill decided to step back from the spotlight as well.

The couple exclusively told The Sun at the time that Jill’s father, Jim Bob, had banned them from the family home because he “worried about the influence” they may have on his children.

Derick previously described how the estrangement has also affected their relationship with Jill’s siblings.

He said: “Our visitation to the Duggar house has been restricted and that is where they and their spouses hang out.

“We have not been able to see other family as much as we would like, so that is difficult.”

What is Counting On?

On air between 2015 and 2020, Counting On followed the lives of the older Duggar children as they got married and started families of their own.

Though the show initially focused on Jill and her sister Jessa, the TLC series expanded to include nine of the other Duggar siblings.

Derick announced back in December of 2017 that the couple and their two sons would not be appearing in future episodes.
