NOTHING can get quite as annoying and frustrating as seeing hair static ruin your look – all the hours spent doing your hair have essentially been binned.
But while there are products in the market to combat this, a savvy hair stylist has shared a very cheap solution – and chances are, you already have it in the kitchen.

In a short clip on Instagram, Maria Aiello, a professional hair stylist, showed off a rather unusual way of getting your hair static-free with the help of a common household item.
The trick, which has gone viral, racking up almost 11 million views on Instagram and 2 million on TikTok, is as easy as it gets.
According to the expert, all you need to do is grab a small piece of aluminum foil, wrap it around your hair – she did it in separate sections – and pull it downwards.

The simple explanation behind this hack, she said, is that foil discharges static, making it a great tool for those crazy hair moments.
But whilst Maria, as demonstrated in the video, was left with silky smooth locks, not everyone was impressed, with some claiming the trick hadn’t done anything.
”It didn’t work for me,” read a critical comment, whilst a second added: ”it did [work] but not tht drastically like the video – just a little.”
Others took it to comments to share their recommendations to help with static, like this person: ”also dryer sheets, they make your hair smell good.”
”you can try this with normal paper as well,” said someone else.
”if this works you have solved all my life problems,” a user appeared to be particularly happy to have seen the video.
”I needed this when I was in school with those terrible static causing chairs,” read of many comments left on her clip.

Meanwhile, this beauty lover asked for a ‘face framing’ cut at the salon – it looked awful so she went back to have it fixed but they made it WORSE.
Plus, this student did a DIY bleach job… it was a total fail, bits snapped off and now she looks like a crazy penguin.
