In this video, which has already gained nearly 30,000 views, Leah shares “folding hacks” to help people fit their clothes in the smallest spaces.
“These are the details to make your clothes fit in your space,” said Leah as she folds her items away into organizing bins.
Her first hack is how to fold denim shorts.
“You have to unbutton the top and fold it into thirds to distribute the material evenly,” said Leah.
After this, fold the shorts in half to take up the height of the drawer, thus using less space.
Next is folding sweaters. Leah doesn’t recommend that you hang sweats as doing so can stretch and damage the shoulders.
She says it’s easier to fold them and instead and says she has multiple videos on her account where people can practice.
For the third hack, Leah says that some clothes are better to fold while others are better to hang.
Jeans, sweatpants, sweat sets, shorter skirts and cotton basics are the best items to fold rather than hang, she said.
Lastly, Leah suggests that people “file fold” in their drawers. As in folding clothes in such a way that they look like a drawer full of files.
“It’s a game-changer to see what you have.”
The comments are full of users thanking Leah for her tips while others ask questions on how to maintain the organization.
“My problem is when I pull out a sweater they all get messed up and I feel like I’m constantly refolding them or they get wrinkly,” wrote one user.
