A WOMAN was left fuming when she heard how her mother-in-law and husband decided to change the name of her first child.
In a post on the website where she could remain anonymous, the expectant mother claimed her husband tried to apologize for not letting her know the slight change in plans.

The woman, who posted on Reddit asking if she was in the right for being so angry, revealed she was expecting a girl.
As a way to remember her late grandmother, who had raised her and had passed away due to lung cancer, she and the husband decided to name their daughter Anna.
“We live close to my grandfather and visit him on a daily basis,” she said.
“It means so much to my grandfather that we are naming our daughter Anne.
Moving on, she gave a little backstory on her relationship with her mother-in-law.
“My MIL and I are cordial when we get together.
“My husband is her only child, and she feels like since I stepped into his life, their relationship changed.
“He is still very close with her, but he doesn’t visit often because of the pregnancy,” she claimed.
Nevertheless, the woman’s mother-in-law invited the couple over for a dinner party but things immediately took a turn for the worse.
She claimed: “When we sat down for dinner, my mother-in-law turned to me and said ‘Your husband and I spoke this past week and he told me that you were going to be naming the baby after me.’
“I could feel my anxiety level rising. I said ‘No? We are still planning to name her Anna…right?’
“I gave my husband a look and he didn’t say anything. My mother-in-law made a face and said ‘Well, it seems like your husband is not on board with her name.’
The expecting mom finished eating, looked over at her husband, and demanded they leave at once.
Once they got inside their car, her husband immediately started to apologize.
Despite his apology, she expressed how infuriating it was for her to hear that he had made a decision like that without consulting her first.
To make matters worse, “MIL sent me a few text messages regarding my behavior that evening and hopes I will change my mind.”
The majority of comments were confused as to why she’d been so upset about a decision that wasn’t set in stone yet.
One person wrote: “I don’t get why you’re acting like they made a definitive choice.
“Your mother-in-law can say whatever stupid sh**t she wants. But it doesn’t mean you have to listen.”
A second said: “The baby hasn’t arrived, and the name isn’t on the birth certificate.”
A third encourage her to stand firm on her initial decision: “Do not change your daughter’s name.
“Tell your husband if he ever ambushes you again he can sleep at mommy’s house instead.”
