Russia and Ukraine will meet again tomorrow

The second meeting between Russia and Ukraine is scheduled for Wednesday. Russia’s state-run Tass news agency quoted Ukrainian media outlet Zarqalo Nedelli as saying on Tuesday.

Another Ukrainian media outlet, Glavcom, quoted various sources in the country’s delegation as saying that the sources talked about the progress of the issues discussed at the first meeting. According to the report, Russia has demanded that Ukraine present a pledge at the parliamentary level and hold a referendum on the issue. Russia also demanded that Ukraine recognize the People’s Republic of Donetsk and Luhansk on the administrative border and relinquish its claim to Crimea.

According to Glavcom, Ukraine has demanded a ceasefire as well as the withdrawal of Russian troops from the country.

The Russian and Ukrainian delegations held talks in Belarus for about five hours on Monday. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov. The Russian team is led by Vladimin Medensky, an aide to the president.
