Bashundhara Kings has filed various allegations against Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in the International Sports Court a few days ago. Saif Sporting Club has threatened to take BFF to the International Sports Court (Court of Arbitration for Sports) before the allegations are settled.
The club made the threat today, blaming the referee for the 2-0 defeat to Mohammedan at the Munshiganj ground in the Premier League yesterday. Saif Sporting, who finished fourth in the last Premier League, has said he will go to FIFA, FC as well as the International Sports Court (CSA) if the referees do not blow the whistle properly in the ongoing Premier League.
In their previous match in Munshiganj, Saif lost 1-0 to Sheikh Russell Sports Club. The club has complained to BFF that the referee gave a controversial penalty in that match. In that match, Saif’s captain Jamal Bhuiyan kicked the referee, according to the referee and match commissioner’s report.
But Jamal says he did not kick. The matter could not be clarified even after watching the video. BFF has decided to further investigate the kick-controversy. However, the BFF disciplinary committee fined Saif Tk 50,000 for some other incidents during the match. The club raised strong objections to the refereeing again today without cutting its resh.

Mahbubur Rahman, general secretary of Saif Sporting, wrote in a letter to the general secretary of BFF: In the 64th, 6th and 7th minutes of the Saif-Mohammedan match in the Bangladesh Premier League at the Munshiganj Stadium on January 18, Saif’s player Emeka was fouled inside the opponent’s box but the referee rejected the penalty request. In the 84th minute, Mohammedan’s Jasmine pushed Saif’s Emeka inside the box with his hand from the side. The referee rejected the penalty application.
The letter further said, “Mohammedan goalkeeper Sujan kicked him when Emeka entered the box again in the 7th minute. This time too the referee rejected the penalty application. In the 6th minute, Gafurv was pushed from behind inside the box. This time too the referee decided to foul out of the box without penalty. All three incidents were clear penalties with the naked eye, as evidenced by the video of the game.
The club claims that the referee is making such a wrong decision in almost every match of Saif Sporting Club. Saif also thinks that the result of the game is being affected. Asking the referees to refrain from making such a wrong decision, the club said at the end of the letter, “If we do not remedy this claim, we will be compelled to seek redress from FIFA, AFC and CSA with the necessary evidence.” We believe that FIFA, AFC and CAS will understand the issue and provide remedies based on accurate evidence.
