Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that allowing former Prime Minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for medical treatment was a wrong decision of the government. He said this while addressing a public meeting on Friday. News Dawn.
Imran addressed a rally in Mandi Bahauddin area of Punjab province yesterday. He addressed supporters of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). At the time, Imran questioned the veracity of former Prime Minister Nawaz’s illness. “First there was talk of one disease, then of another, then there was talk of a decrease in the number of blood molecules,” he said.
Imran claimed that the issue of Nawaz’s illness was presented in such a way that the government thought he would not live long. However, he noted that the idea was wrong. “I think we made a big mistake by allowing Nawaz to go abroad,” Imran said.
The Pakistani prime minister said Nawaz Sharif had often visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the past and mocked PTI leaders by questioning whether they knew the area. But in 2016, PTI has won in this province by getting two-thirds of the votes.
