The pass rate in Higher Secondary (HSC) examination under Sylhet Education Board is 94.60. This time the pass rate is the second highest after the establishment of the Board of Education. Earlier last year, due to Corona, HSC examination was not held and 100% of the candidates passed.

Since the establishment of Sylhet Board of Education in 1999, this time a new record has been set in achieving the highest GPA-5. This time 4,731 candidates got GPA-5 under the board. Last year, the number of GPA-5 was 4 thousand 242.

This information was given by the Secretary of the Board Kabir Ahmed and the Controller of Examinations Arun Chandra Pal at a press conference organized on the occasion of publishing the results of HSC examination in the meeting room of Sylhet Education Board at 12:15 pm on Sunday.

It was informed at the press conference that this time 63,193 candidates have passed with 8,998 candidates under the Sylhet Board. The pass rate is 94.60. This time the candidates took part in the examination on optional subjects.

It was said in the press conference that the candidates got good results as there was no test in English in this year’s Higher Secondary Examination. Apart from this, the pass rate has improved as the students of humanities department have done well. This time 2998 organizations participated in 658 centers under Sylhet Board. Of these, 538 institutions have passed 100%.

1 lakh 69 thousand 189 people got GPA-5 in HSC and equivalent examinations all over the country. Of these, 1 lakh 8 thousand 522 students got GPA-5 in HSC examination under 9 general education boards. 4,062 students got GPA-5 in Alim examination under Madrasa Education Board. And 5,065 got GPA-5 under the Technical Education Board.

The average pass rate in this test is 95.28. The total number of participants in this test was 13 lakh 71 thousand 71 people. Of these, 13 lakh 8 thousand 618 people have passed.

After officially handing over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday, she announced the results from Ganobhaban at around 12:15 pm. Education Minister Dipu Moni presented the results at a press conference at the International Mother Tongue Institute in Segunbagicha.
