There is no play-off, Abhishek Tamim in commentary

“If the throw had been a little better, it would have been different!”
Mushfiqur Rahim took a single while playing at the backward point with the ball of Nasum Ahmed. Andre Fletcher finally dived to reach the crease. By the time Akbar Ali broke the stumps with a throw, Fletcher had entered the crease. If the throw had been a little better, the ‘result’ of the ball would have been different, at least that’s what the replay looked like.
The reason for mentioning this incident is the same – the above statement is from Tamim Iqbal. That too in the television commentary. In the eliminator match of Chittagong Challengers and Khulna Tigers in BPL, Bangladesh ODI captain made a different debut. He was seen giving commentary for the first time.

Tamim came to comment while batting in Khulna. First Ed Rainsford, then Athar Ali Khan. As he analyzed the match there, he also talked about the national team. Later, Athar, an experienced commentator, praised Tamim’s commentary.
Tamim Iqbal’s team Minister Dhaka has been dropped from the BPL before the last four. Dhaka could have reached the last four if any team from Khulna or Chittagong lost on the last day of the group stage. But in the end it did not happen. Tamim, the highest run-getter so far in the BPL this season, is also not playing in the play-offs.
Apart from Athar Ali, former national team cricketers Shahriar Nafees and Mehrab Hossain Jr. have also commented on television in the past. However, the commentary of the next two did not last long. Besides, former captain and current selector Habibul Bashar once went to give commentary in Bengali in IPL.

Tamim, however, has already shown his ability to speak in front of the ‘camera’. After the start of the Corona epidemic, he started his own show on Facebook. Tamim’s guests were Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Rohit Sharma, Kane Williamson, Wasim Akram and many former and current cricket stars from Bangladesh and abroad.
He got a lot of ‘show’ viewership. After leaving the game, Tamim can now think of forming a future career in commentary!
