Aaron Rodgers calls out NFL on player safety over turf fields
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant makes half-court buzzer beaters look easy after his made shot against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.
Ja Morant has shown through his first three seasons in the NBA that he can be a true superstar of the league. Just last year, he won the NBA’s Most Improved Player, and helped the Memphis Grizzlies make it to the second-round of the NBA Playoffs. This year, the Grizzlies sit in fourth-place in the Western Conference with a 9-5 record entering Tuesday night, thanks in part to the play of Morant.
Facing off against the New Orleans Pelicans, Morant made a gigantic impact early on in the first half. In the closing seconds of the first quarter, Morant raced up court, received the inbound pass, then unleashed a shot from the half court line that floated high into the air, and landed directly through the net.
Twitter users were impressed by how easy Ja Morant made that half-court shot look.

That made shot was Morant’s 16th point scored in the first quarter. In the first half alone, Morant scored 24 points, grabbed two rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded three steals.
Entering Tuesday night, Morant was averaging 28.8 points, 7.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals while shooting 48.0-percent from the field and 41.0-percent from the three-point line.
Whenever you get the chance to watch a Grizzlies game, do so, because the odds of Morant doing something impressive in the game are high.
