Is McDonald’s open on Veteran’s Day?
Get yourself a Big Mac if that’s what your heart desires! Veterans Day falls on Friday, Nov. 11 and quite a few businesses will be closed. But rest assured, McDonald’s will not be one of them. The fast food chain will remain open during normal hours (but call your local joint in case they have altered hours).
So if you are craving a soft serve ice cream cone (the machine is working!), or a large salted fries, or many you are on a road trip and want one of those $1 large sodas … you’ll be able to on Friday.

What is Veteran’s Day?
According to VA.gov, Veteran’s Day is “a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.”
Over the years it’s morphed into people just having a day off and BBQing.
But if you have the time, look up local Veteran’s Day ceremony’s in your area and pay respects to the real reason you have a three-day weekend.
