Billie Eilish Says Porn “Destroyed Her Brain”

Singer Billie Eilish opened up on The Howard Stern Show about how she feels watching porn “destroyed her brain.”

Eilish spoke out against the lack of consent in porn, and the role it can play in how young people think about sex.

“I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest. I started watching porn when I was like 11,” she said. “I thought that’s how you learned how to have sex. I was watching abusive porn, to be honest, when I was like 14.”

Eilish even confessed it got to the point that she couldn’t watch porn that wasn’t “abusive” as she found it less interesting.

“I was a virgin,” Eilish said. “I had never done anything. And so, it led to problems. The first few times I had sex, I was not saying no to things that were not good. And it’s because I thought that’s what I was supposed to be attracted to.”

She adds that she feels watching violent porn at a very young age contributed to her mental health problems, ultimately leading to her suffering from sleep paralysis.

In a more general way, she feels young people watching porn can attribute to how society view women’s bodies.

“Women’s bodies don’t look like that. We don’t come like that,” she said. “I’m so angry that porn is so loved, and I’m so angry at myself for thinking that it was OK.”
