Carabao Cup Semi-Finals: Chelsea v Spurs, Arsenal v Liverpool

The final four teams of the Carabao Cup have been confirmed, with the semi-final ties set for early January 2022.

The three remaining ties were played out, with one going down to the wire.

Liverpool put out a significantly weakened side against Leicester City, and looked down and out at 3-1.

Diogo Jota kick started the comeback before Takumi Minamino grabbed a last gasp equaliser in the 90+5th minute.

The game went to penalties, with the Merseyside club eventually coming out on top 5-4 to book their spot in the semi-finals.

Elsewhere, Chelsea saw off Brentford with the help of a Pontus Jansson own girl and Jorginho penalty in the last 10 minutes of the 90.

And a closely fought contest in London saw Tottenham Hotspur get the better of West Ham United 2-1.

The trio join Arsenal in the last four where semi-final ties will take place over two legs – though could be cut to just the single game due to Covid-19.
