Comedian Heather McDonald Hospitalised After Collapsing On-Stage

Comedian Heather McDonald has been hospitalised after collapsing on-stage.

TMZ reports that the incident occurred on Saturday evening during McDonald’s sold-out performance in Tempe, Arizona.

Described as a “medical emergency”, the 51-year-old had allegedly delivered her second joke of the night when she unexpectedly collapsed: “I’m vaxxed, double vaxxed, boosted and flue shot and single shot and haven’t gotten Covid and Jesus loves me most.”

Medical professionals sitting amidst the audience reportedly rushed to McDonald’s assistance while an ambulance was called. Though she reportedly turned down the ambulance’s offer of transportation, she travelled to the hospital with her sister-in-law, who had luckily been watching from the audience.

Addressing the incident from hospital, McDonald said on Instagram: “I’m so, so, so, so, so sorry. I passed out on stage. I got up, I did one joke and felt so dizzy. You can see my eye… when I fell. Oh my God, I cannot believe this happened, I feel so terrible.”

TMZ confirms that McDonald is fully vaccinated and has received a booster.
