313 Presents, the company responsible for entertainment events at a host of major metro Detroit venues, has appointed a new head booking executive.
Sarah Zawalski has been named Senior Vice President of Booking & Industry Relations, succeeding Dana Warg in the role. She was selected following a national search, 313 Presents president Howard Handler said in a Wednesday statement.
Zawalski is a 25-year veteran of Olympia Entertainment and 313 Presents, the joint venture launched by the Ilitch operation and Tom Gores following the opening of Little Caesars Arena, where Zawalski was involved in planning backstage artist accommodations and concert sight lines.
The company produces and promotes events at LCA, Pine Knob Music Theatre, the Fox Theatre, Comerica Park, Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre and Meadow Brook Amphitheatre.
In her previous role as senior director of booking, Zawalski was involved with securing more than 4,000 events, including 50 stadium dates at Comerica Park, according to a Wednesday media release. She has played a key role in landing events such as iHeart Radio’s annual Jingle Ball concert, the recent NCAA regional finals at LCA and more.
Warg, who announced his departure internally several months ago, will continue working with 313 Presents on “large-scale projects and new initiatives,” according to Wednesday’s announcement.
In March, Zawalski was named to the 2024 class of Women of Live by VenuesNow, a leading concert trade publication.
