Barbara Broccoli has shut down speculation that the next Bond will be played by a woman.
It is still unknown who will be replacing Daniel Craig as the beloved agent, but Barbara has confirmed that it will be a man.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the producer said that “I think it will be a man because I don’t think a woman should play James Bond.”
“I believe in making characters for women and not just having women play men’s roles.”
She also believes that women do not have ‘enough great roles.”
“It’s very important to me that we make movies for women about women.”
In regard to 007, it appears that he will be played be a British man of any ethnicity.
“He should be British, so British can be any [ethnicity or race].”
