Commander is not the only new furry resident of the White House. It is reported that a cat will join the household in January, with Jill Biden having first mentioned the feline in April.

The family’s other dog, Major, has been scarcely seen around the presidential home in recent months.

The three-year-old German Shepherd was sent to Delaware for training after it was revealed that he had bitten a secret service agent in an “extremely minor” incident.
