Sylvester Stallone will star in the upcoming Paramount+ series, Kansas City.
According to Deadline, the new show follows a New York mobster named Sal (Stallone) who is forced to relocate to Kansas City, Missouri. Faced with reestablishing his Italian Mafia family, Sal encounters several unique characters on his way back to power.
The series hails from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winters. The writers room for the show remains underway with hopes to begin production in 2022.
Stallone is best known for his starring role in the Rocky, Rambo and Expendables franchises. Recently, he announced the conclusion of his work on The Expendables 4, expected to arrive in cinemas in 2022.
