Thandiwe Newton blasts Sean Penn as a “jibbering fool” for his comments on “feminised” men.
In a recent interview with the Independent, Penn claimed that “cowardly genes” were leading people to “surrender their jeans and put on a skirt”.
His comments followed a separate interview with i News, in which he said: “I am in the club that believes that men in American culture have become wildly feminised… I don’t think that [in order] to be fair to women, we should become them.”
While the remarks have drawn broad condemnation, Westworld actress Newton took to Twitter to express her outrage.
