Trevor Noah is suing a Manhattan hospital and surgeon after undergoing surgery last year.
The lawsuit was filed last month and claims that the surgery left him with “permanent, severe and grievous injuries” and “loss of enjoyment of life.”
Noah was reportedly not advised of the risks and that he “sustained severe and painful personal injuries; sustained severe nervous shock, mental anguish, severe emotional distress and great physical pain”- report The Independent.
Court papers also state that he was “confined to bed and home for a long period of time” and “prevented from engaging in his usual occupation.”
It is not revealed for the operation or treatment was that Trevor underwent, but “some of his injuries are of a permanent nature, he will continue to suffer similar damages in the future.”
The surgeon has not commented personally on the lawsuit as of yet.
