A fire broke out in a polythene factory in old Dhaka

A fire broke out in a polythene factory on the ground floor of a four-storey building in Old Dhaka. Eleven units of the fire service are working to control the fire.

The fire broke out at 11:30 pm on Saturday, said the officer in charge of the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defense. Shahjahan Sikder.

He said that after receiving the news of a fire in a polythene factory on the ground floor of a four-storey building at Mahuttuli in Old Dhaka, four units were added and then five more units were added to control the fire.

He said the cause of the fire and the number of casualties could not be ascertained.
