Japanese ‘Frozen’ Actress Dies Age 35

Sayaka Kanda has sadly been found dead at the age of 35.

The actress, who voiced Anna in the dubbed Japanese version of the Disney film Frozen, was found at a hotel in Sapporo.

Deadline reports that, according to “local media reports she did not show up for an afternoon performance of the musical My Fair Lady at the Sapporo Cultural Arts Theatre, where she was playing Eliza Dolittle.”

She died after falling from a height. Local police are investigating the fall as suicide, but “have not ruled out foul play.”

A statement on Kanda’s official website reads:

“We are very sorry to give such a report to all the fans who supported us and all the people who took care of us.”

The situation has been called “unbelievable and unacceptable.”

Rest in Peace, Sayaka.
