Real Housewives Of Orange County star Elizabeth Vargas has been left shaken up after being held captive at her home by her ex-boyfriend.
According to TMZ, police were called to Vargas’ Newport Beach home on Tuesday after an unnamed ex-boyfriend barricaded himself in her home.
Ryan Geraghty, who police say was arrested at Vargas’s home, has been charged with assault, burglary, extortion and felon in possession of a firearm.
A source close to the former RHOC star has told Page Six that Vargas had been dating Geraghty on and off over the last few months before he started to extort her.
“He became obsessive with her and would show up at places and come by her house randomly. He asked her for money all the time.”
“She gave him a little money, but then threatened to start extorting her,” an insider shared with Page Six.
