‘WWE’ Star Brian Kendrick Pulled From AEW Debut Over Past 9/11 Comments

Former WWE star Brian Kendrick was pulled from making his AEW debut on Wednesday after past comments about 9/11 and the Holocaust resurfaced.

The 42-year-old wrestler was due to make his debut on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, but he was pulled from the show minutes before it was set to air after old videos resurfaced showing him talking about various offensive conspiracy theories.

In one video, Kendrick can be heard saying he believes an illuminati-type group was behind 9/11 and in another he claims that the Sandy Hook school shooting was “bullsh*t” meant to start a civil war. He also claimed that the Holocaust was “overblown.”

In a statement announcing Kendrick’s removal, AEW president Tony Khan said: “We’ve been made aware of abhorrent & offensive comments made in the past by Brian Kendrick.”

“There’s no room in AEW for the views expressed by Brian. We think it’s best for all that Brian be pulled from tonight’s card as we gather more info.”

Posting to his Twitter, Kendrick apologised for his past comments saying: “I apologize for all the hurt and embarrassment I have caused with my words. These are not my beliefs and never were beliefs of mine, and I crossed the line.”

I apologize for all the hurt and embarassment I have caused with my words. These are not my beliefs and never were beliefs of mine, and I crossed the line.
