Ben Schwartz Joins ‘Renfield’ Cast

Ben Schwartz has been cast in Universal’s new film, Renfield.

The picture, based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, focuses on the vampire’s human minion, Renfield (played by Nicholas Hoult). Further plot details are yet to be revealed.

Variety reports that in addition to Hoult, Schwartz joins a cast that includes the likes of Nicolas Cage and Awkwafina.

Helming the project is Chris McKay, who will also serve as a producer on the film with Skybound Entertainment’s Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Bryan Furst, and Sean FurstRyan Ridley penned the script.

Ben Schwartz has featured in a number of hit series, including Parks & Recreation and House of Lies. He is next due to appear in the second season of Netflix’s Space Force, and Apple’s upcoming series, The Afterparty. The 40-year-old also starred in the comedy film Standing Up, Falling Down, and provided the voice of Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog.
