Eddie Nketiah Stars As Arsenal Progress To Carabao Cup Semi-Finals

Arsenal is the first team to reach the semi-final of the EFL cup following a resounding win over League One club Sunderland

It was a night for some of the younger players to ball out, with Eddie Nketiah stealing the show after bagging a hat-trick in front of fans.

The crowing goal for Nketiah was a work of art, not only from the assist by Nicolas Pépé, but also from the finish itself.

Pépé himself bagged a goal on the half an hour mark, which was Arsenal’s second of the night.

It was followed almost instantly by a goal from Sunderland’s Nathan Broadhead, but it would be nothing more than a consolation goal.

And arguably the pick of the evening came with the fifth and final goal – scored by Arsenal’s Charlie Patino who made his senior debut for the club when he came on as a substitute.

The rest of the quarter-final ties will conclude tonight (December 22).

Brentford take on Chelsea, Liverpool welcome Leicester City and it’s an all London affair for Tottenham Hotspur against West Ham.
