Tom Brady Won’t Completely Rule Out NFL Comeback Just Yet

Despite announcing his retirement just last week, Tom Brady has refused to rule out a comeback just yet.

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore.”

“I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,” he announced on Instagram.

But even despite calling time on his illustrious playing career, Brady hasn’t completely dismissed the idea of returning to the NFL some day.

Speaking with co-host Jim Gray on his Lets Go! podcast, the 44-year-old says “never say never” about a potential comeback.

“At the same time, I feel very good about my decision I can in the moment, which I did last week.

“Again, I think it’s not looking to reverse course,” he said. “I’m definitely not looking to do that. But at the same time, I think you have to be realistic that you never know what challenges there are gonna be in life.”

He added: “I loved playing. I’m looking forward to doing things other than playing.”

“That’s as honest as I can be.”
